You say: "5. In the most important vote, the Supreme court ruled 7-2 in favor of Bush."

For the last time, that is FALSE. The 2 dissenters who expressed equal protection concerns (Souter and Breyer) both stated unequivocally that they would not have taken the case at all, which means, first and foremost, that they would have let the FSC decision stand, and second, that their concerns regarding equal protection did not rise to such a level that (i) they had even the slightest thought of joining the majority on that issue -- their dissent was complete, and in full, and (ii) they thought it necessary for SCOTUS to intervene in the case because of the equal protection concern.

It was a 5-4 decision, period -- none of the dissenters joined in any part of the majority's decision. Not 7-2, but 5-4. The notion that it was 7-2 is classic GOP revisionist history. If you GOP zealots are so intellectually dishonest that you can't even get that simple fact straight, then there is little hope anything else you say will have one iota of credibility.

By the way, the difference with democrats celebrating Clinton was they actually had reason to believe he had won the election. What the GOP is doing is like thieves doing high fives as they split the stolen money after the heist is completed.

Last point - I am a lifelong Democrat, and hatred of Republicans had NEVER been the principle on which my political beliefs were built. I do hate the tactics and rhetoric used by the GOP in Florida this year, though, and will freely admit that Bush's tactics of stealing the election by fighting the recounts in Florida and then running out the clock with the help of the conservative bloc on the Supreme Court have left me feeling bitter and sick to my stomach. My dislike of Bush was always predicated on my sense that he is a blue-blood phony who accomplished absolutely nothing noteworthy in his adult life, has had everything (including the presidency) handed to him on a silver spoon, and is about the least qualified person we have ever had sit in the office of the president. I have seen nothing since the election to suggest that this impression was misguided or off base -- quite the opposite. If anything, I have now seen a side of him that makes me even more sick about this -- that'd be the one that has others do his dirty work while he pretends to be above the fray and something other than what he is. I suspect it is what you guys admire most about him.
