G* experience in the Caribbean this week: In San Juan the phone and Voicemail woked perfectly. In St Thomas the phone worked fine, also apparently registered to the Puerto Rico gateway. St Maarten was curious, slow to get a signal in town, then registering to an international gateway . Then when the cruise ship was a few miles off shore, registering quickly and consistently to GSTAR ANF.I don't know which gateway that is. However, the roaming signal is on, and to call the US I have to hold down 0 to get the plus sign at the start of dialing. So it is obviously not the Puerto Rican gateway and I assume voicemail would not reach the phone.
In summary, the phone works, but not always the latest features. I'll see how the rest of the week goes.
