next opportunity for much higher growth then in N.America is
in Europe, which will grow about 3.2% in 2001-2002 due to
general tax cats in UK, Germany,France and Italy
falling energy prices which affect Europe much more then US or Canada and the fact that Europe is about 18 months behind
US in building new networks.
Telecom market in Europe is about size of US.
BTW, industrial output in France and Italy has been above expactation (0.8%) last months.
As far as eps of US companies is concerned, people forgot that Euro has risen near 11% since Nov.23 and will significantly effect US companies (positively) in Q1.
