Jon, So far, and the year isn't over yet, I have increased my BP by 85 pounds. I am very proud of that. In all honesty, I don't expect more than another 5 pounds in my last bench workout of the year. 100 was a high goal.
No juice ever, ever, ever. The whole reason for lifting, for me, is to be super healthy. It is nice to be strong and it will be great when I get under 10% body fat, but those are minor goals relative to the health one. And roids have no place in a health program. I pretty much like my kidneys and liver and think my brain operates better without cancer. It sounds harsh and, let's face it, many people abuse steroids and they don't necessarily get bad diseases. But you increase the odds against you and I want to increase the odds in my favor. Also, that stuff about shrinking genitals kind of turns me off. Don't tell the women folk, but I can't afford to lose much in one area and in the other part, I'm not really sure big brass ones can be shrunk without great pain. <g>
Also, no growth hormone and none of the pseudo steroids like Androsol. In fact, I won't even take creatine or DHEA. I don't need them. My diet is chock full of all the stuff the body requires, and I add a few vitamins and an occasional protein bar for spice. Of course, the sanity of my workouts helps me not need any helpers.
Next year, I think my goal will focus on the one-armed deadlift. I believe 100 pounds extra is possible for that one in a year, especially since I am kind of wimpy on it right now. |
