Purchasing dot com companies is understandable. But what about all of the investors who purchased JDSU, MSFT, CIEN, BRCM, CSCO, SUNW, etc., at the wrong time. Actually, its not difficult to put together a portfolio of blue chip techs purchased at the wrong time in the cycle and get clobbered almost as bad. The only safe place has been cash. I know a few people that switched from dot.coms into these stocks at the peak price thinking they were safer. wrong!
