Hi bbgold,
Jeff Cooper is one of the basic traders to study, IMHO. He has several books out, but the ones to read are: Hit and Run Trading and Hit and Run Trading II. Don't know of a site per se that will let you read up the Cooper setups, but you could browse the Tradingmarkets.com site. (www.tradingmarkets.com)
Cooper is one of the "founders" of the TM site, and their bookstore carries his stuff. Check tradingmarkets.com Of course, you can find his books at Traders Library, Traders Press, Amazon, etc. If you use QP, Brooke's site has a lot of the setups coded, as do I, for most aren't hard to write scans for. Some are more reliable than others, as many are looking for a good ADX to start with - the trend being your friend. In today's markets, that may be hard to find in many sectors. I'll be happy to attempt an explanation of any Cooperisms you might wonder about.
BTW, if you like the dark side, he has short setups that mirror many of the long trade setups. Cooper prefers to trade stocks that have a price > $70 or so and daily volume > 1M, but many of the setups do work with gizzards that have liquidity.
Hope this helps.
Peace and Justice --- Patrick
BTW to all on the thread -- I hope the holidays where wonderful and safe for all. I'd thought I posted a missive before leaving last week, but don't see it - perhaps I pulled my internet plug too fast. May the joy of a meaningful, full, and charitable life be yours, now and forever. - P - |
