Pat, I respectfully disagree. It is always a journalist's (print or tv) responsibility to put the interviewee's comments into context, i.e. their background, experience, biases, prejudices, etc. They just do an absolutely horrible job of it, and CNBC is just about the worst. It is more entertainment than journalism.
