jim, what's "anal cyst." if you mean analyst, then i guess you're joining the club. i think many of them have bias (banking ties, etc) when giving recommendations, and i no longer follow these mainstream analysts. marty

btw -- did you try datek? they have real time for free. you only need to sign up; no need to send/wire cash to open the account/be a member. it's not level II, but who needs it when it's easy to put fake orders behind others, just so a stock will move a certain way (baed on others seeing those "real" orders).

as to ECNs, you can get it directly from isld.com and others, but yahoo i understand put them all together on one screen.
