ws, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" also sums it up nicely. unfortunately, this doesn't always happen. i believe that the pursuit of self interest will eventually catch up and spank humanity in a big bad way once again. re: justification - it is a terrible thing. some germans justified their mass slaughter of the jews by claiming that they were merely killing an unwanted intruder who broke into their "house." after all, who wouldn't protect their family from an intruder in their own "home?" it is scary to think that we are all such a weak argument away from someone trying to exterminate us.
