The deranged f*ck who shot those people didn't get into an employer levy situation overnight. That wage levy is a last resort type of move on the part of the IRS. Chances are he blew one or more payment agreements before they lowered the boom.

Wage levies are used all the time as methods of payment by various governmental entities. It's generally the only way you can get a true sh!t bum to pay up.

I had a court ordered levy on someone's wages based on a judgement I won after the deadbeat totalled my car. Worked out quite well. I got most of my money before he lost his job for being a toss pot drunk.

Had he killed the payroll gal I guess you'd argue we should abolish the courts?
