Hi, Bosco

I am not an accountant, but it concerns me greatly that we have invested a lot of Vari-L money in having KPMG audit the financials and now the company seems to be hiding behind KPMG's inability to express an unqualified opinion. As I stated previously, a rational person would have expected that an audit would have a qualified opinion as to the early periods, but could have an unqualified opinion relating to the June 30, 2000 balance sheet and subsequent periods. Now, we are getting unaudited statements, when we do get any. The only reason that I can imagine why we aren't being furnished the audits with the qualified opinion is that the company doesn't wish us to have the information that would accompany the disclaimer that the auditor would give. Can any accountants out there shed any more light on this subject? If this information would disclose behavior that was criminal or grossly negligent, don't shareholders have some rights to receive this information?
