Excerpt from Palm's CEO

All Palms, including existing units, will get wireless functions, says Carl Yankowski, Palm chief executive. "We'll make all Palms forward and backward wirelessly connected to the Internet by the end of this year," Yankowski says. Current models may gain that capability through add-ons. All Palms will use Web clipping technology to display content. (April 26, 2000)

Excerpt from Palm's COO:

Alan Kessler, Palm's chief operating officer, said the company would not ignore its existing base of 6-million-plus users in its wireless push. "Between now and the end of the year, everyone who has a Palm will be able to connect wirelessly. We want to enable mobile connectivity," he said.

Current Palm users will be offered a number of wireless connection options, Palm executives said at a New York press conference, with the most common being a wired connection to a cell phone.
