Maverick: DSL Flash... I just called DSLi and this is what happened!

My location is 22,660 feet from my TELCO... ergo, IDSL is my only option. IDSL speed is 144/144 kb send/rec.
I asked "Can you get it to my house?"
He took the info, had the computer check it out, and said YES!
He then told me about a special promo they had for the month of Dec. (ends 12-31-00)... whereby, installation and external modem is FREE... (ok no big deal)...
but then he said $49.95/month!
He also said it would take about 3-4 weeks to install!
You don't pay a dime until it's running and you've used it for 30 days!
That can't be true... what's the catch? Long contract period? There must be a catch... The best I've seen is $84/mo (+ equip.)!
He said 'no catches... that's it clean & simple!
I signed-up!!
I called him back after I thought-up some more questions.
I have two lines... It will NOT have any effect on them whatsoever.
With IDSL, you cannot use the line for a phone like other DSL lines.
IDSL is good UP TO 36,000 feet away from your TELCO...
...if you're past that, you're out of luck!
BUT... IF YOU're CLOSER and can use the super FAST connections, YOU STILL get it for just $49.95/mo.!!
Unreal! but true!
OK... I was so happy, I asked him...
"what will you give me if I send you more customers?"...
He Checked with his boss and told me...
"For every 4 people you get to sign-up, we'll give you a free month".
