Time to get this thread going again --- The best movie I have seen this year is "Requiem For A Dream," now playing in selected art houses. It is an EXTREMELY disturbing film, the kind of thing where you don't want to watch it, but can't keep your eyes off the screen. Terrible things happen, unbelievably ugly things. It will leave you depressed for days. If it isn't nominated for best picture, there is no justice in life.
