Currently I'm working on integrating three separate Rx systems with robotics, med dispensing, patient demographics, charge and administration data, and most importantly bi-directional orders (inpatient, outpatient & long term care.) To do that you not only have to synchronize on compatible transactions and databases, but synch Dr, nurse & RPh perspectives & workflows.
Just don't ask me to spell English correctly or balance a checkbook. One of the greatest miracles of the 20th centuries is that I've only forgotten our anniversery once in 19 years (I'd have been in REAL big trouble of others had forgotten to send us cards!)
