What's keeping AMZN from bankruptcy is the stash of cash which might not really exist. If I
remember, AMZN had some of it's cash assets invested in other dot bombs so there may not
be very much left.

Paul,

The Q3 2000 report from, Amazon did indicate how much cash was stock from other dot coms. It was a lot of money but not an extreme amount considering how much cash Amazon burns. In "real" cash Amazon should beable to function through Q3 2001. I doubt their vendors will supply inventory beyond that without a cash infusion. I do not believe the rumors that Goldman Sachs is trying to raise money for Amazon is just a rumor. I believe it is accurate. I also believe it is not going well.

This will be an interesting year for Amazon.
