Pearly,

I have some family that grew up in Basildon (across the Thames estuary from Chatham, I believe), and they got out the first chance they had.

Oddly enough, the US Chathams (in Massachusetts and New Jersey) are very affluent.

Here in the Midwest US, it is 10 degrees F, with 6 inches of snow on the ground... it has been like this for two weeks now.
