Rande and Thread: tonight's edition of PBS Newshour has an excellent discussion of the conflict of interest issues we have discussed here re: brokerage analysts appearing on TV and touting stocks of firm's their employers have investment banking interests in. For those of you who receive this post too late to see today's PBS Newshour broadcast the entire text of the segment broadcast is available at: pbs.org Tells it like it is, with appearances by A. Levitt, Abby J. Cohen, CNBS execs, even old Louie Rukheyser(not available for interview). PBS even went after thier own on this, great job. We will see some changes in this shameless touting soon.
