Hi all, just dropped in to let you all know that I've eliminated my other 50% holding in sunw (the part that I didn't sell at $120 on a pre-split basis -- but wish I had). Don't know for sure if it will hit my revised $19 target or not, but I can't stand still, money doesn't wait forever.

Anyhow, best of luck, I've found better fortunes ahead for Y2001-2004 in the name of msft. I'm afraid that sunw will now experience a Y2000 msft performance in Y2001, at least (the protracted kind and not what we've experienced lately). It's all about valuation and market share deterioration type of thing you know.

Hopefully, sunw can at least mkt. perform for a couple of years, while the repair work on the stock goes on for you guys, and maybe come back to old highs by then. Unfortunately, it usually takes several years to mend this kind of damage to a stock as well as a company's fundamentals -- at the same time....ouch! Msft on the other hand is poised for explosive growth on several fronts, such as the following:

*Msft will more than likely experience record growth in win2k sales during 2001.
*Msft will beat revised estimates in January.
*Msft's Whistler due out sometime in 2001.
*Msft's X-box due for delivery sometime late in 2001.
*Msft will prevail in its anti-trust suit -- with a most likely settlement in the coming months on the federal level with Ashcroft's appointment; who is most likely to "lighten" the Clinton/Reno malaise of their attack on msft.
*.Net will be a huge long term success, which is in great part being underestimated today, to the demise of more than we realize today.
*Stock price out-performance over sunw in the next 2 years will probably make most wish they had marked this post 2 yrs from now.
*It's the Net, not Scott's vision of what HE wants. In other words, it's marketing stupid, again.
*Sunw's attack on msft HAS and WILL continue to haunt them for as long as the sunw shines bank on it. The dog is biting back, and biting back hard with vengeance.
*(And this is the hard part -- but not anymore -g-) msft will soon commence in making serious inroads on sunw and orcl territory, in fact it's underway.

The party is about to begin, in the name of Msft. Time to move onto greener pastures ahead.

Ciao-
