Re. new recommendations, while I'm nibbling into quality fallen high techs I will present something that has much better reward/risk potential. Maybe we could help each other in identifying specific opportunities in this area.

The opportunities involve regional banks about to go public. Doesnt sound sexy but it can be very rewarding especially if insiders buy (you can find this out from prospectus). From very limited experience) these are priced to give ipo purchasers 10 - 25% instant return and are timed to give rest of public double digit return over a year - so that ipo purchasers can make solid double digit or even triple digit returns over a year. To be eligible for ipo you need to be depositor (possible if you get sufficient advance notice of ipo), state residents generally get second priority, then rest of public third priority.

So the key is detective work to find these opportunities.
