My perspective is mainly from the 90's, where housing prices in Silicon Valley were on a continual decline since (I believe) 1987 to Jan 1996:

Almost ten years of a market decline.

The 70's was good for real estate because of the inflationary economy.

Btw, I had read 50% of Silicon Valley is younger than 35 years old, so lots of first-time buyers.

LOL! I wonder if Intel's equivalent will be money down the drain? I haven't heard anything about Intel's online businesses.

You too. And let's hope Nasdaq does better next year. I haven't calculated the exact amount yet, but I think I'm down 20% for 2000. First time ever to experience a negative year-end return since I started investing a decade ago. Let's hope I'm not onto some new trend here.
