Ariba Marketplace 7.2 simply doesn't work for the following reasons.

1) Client crashes. 7.5 will try to solve this problem by moving business rules from the client side to the server side.
2) Server crashes, and Ariba has no answer.
3) Server can't handle any meaningful load.
4) The biggest problem in any marketplace implementation is catalog. 7.2 does not address this good enough for industrial products.
5) 7.2 can NOT handle contract procurement, which is about 90% of B2B transactions.
6) Others: wrong documentation and zero tech support.

7.5 may be the first version that's going to work, but don't know when ARBA is ready to release it. At the same time, BEA, SUN, i2, and ORCL are coming up.
