Michael, thanks for the training info. I checked-out one of the links you gave a number of months ago but the stuff I read lacked the specificity I was hoping for. Maybe he was trying to sell books -g- Drop sets remind me of the pyramid system I used in college for squats, in reverse. 6 reps-4 reps-3 reps-2 reps-1 rep. That was in the '70s, so I'm wondering if studies have shown the drop sets to be better. Do you think 6-4-3-2-1 might provide more warm-up and decrease injury risk? I can see how drop sets and 1-6 would get someone through stick points. Must say that at my age, and for the past 8 years, I've been reluctant to try max lifts--seems to always result in strains and tears.
Good luck with those last 15 pounds!
