Hi toscano,

Thanks for the OpenSecrets.org article. I've bookmarked it.

I won't take issue with your DYN call, except to say that the timing may not be as propitious as you think. My buddies who play this market are net sellers at the moment. :)

As regards the safety of nuclear energy, the record of the industry (excepting the idiocy of the design and the operators in Chernobyl) is one of the most stellar on the planet. This is completely misunderstood by the enviro-whacko crowd. And utterly misconstrued by the media, for the sake of sensationalism and sales.

unless the nuclear industry can SUBSTANTIALLY AND FIRMLY reduce the inherent risk of radiation,
You sound like a lawyer who's already made up his mind as to the conclusion he wishes to infer from the question. The fact is, there are inherent risks in the production of nuclear power, but they are certainly substantially and firmly under control, except in the mind of the American, Canadian, British and German publics. The French laugh at us for being so naive and hysterical about such matters. And they are right to do so.

As regard DYN, you might want to think about any relationship they have with El Paso Gas. El Paso is going to be sued tomorrow by the California AG for conspiracy in manipulating the natural gas prices in the California market. This could get interesting.

Suits are also being filed by SCE and PG&E for relief from FERC regarding generator price manipulation.

So, from the craziness of the election, straight to the zaniness of the energy markets. America just can't catch a break these days.

Ciao, Ray :)
