It's difficult if not impossible to discuss market direction without discussing the economy. The economy is affected by politics. A real mdd cannot take place a political free vacuum.

Rate cuts/raises and tax cuts/increases influence the economy and market direction as well of course. You can't discuss the likelihood of future actions in these areas without a discussion of the past events which involves partisan political history. Afterall, politicians and their appointees are making these decisions. To believe otherwise is naive.

So where do you draw the line?

Do you really want a complete elimination of political discussion in regards to market direction especially with a new administration about to walk into the WH?

What are your guidelines?
