If you hang on to both "old Qualcomm" and "SpinCo" shares, it will always be easy to do the math regarding what your original Qualcomm shares have turned into. (I know this is a pretty "lame" reason to allow to influence an investment decision; but it does enter into my thought process ...) Jon.
