Dear Alex:

My source actually stated that 75% was owned by insiders and 67% of the shares were restricted from trading -that was back in Jan. '97. I agree that company seems to have turned into a longer term speculative buy. Because of the high percentage of inside ownership, they don't have the usual pressure from outside share holders. Then again they might just not have been lucky of late or they might be timing their "luck" to suit them. I guess that all these theories come about from thinking that a company owned primarily by insiders might have different adjenda than one where that majority of shares was held by outsiders.

Seems like a good idea for a great geolgist (John Guilbert) to have a personal interest in a mining company.

Regards,
Jannette
