just remember last year.....

the market was in a definite uptrend in the fall.....and shorters who thought no way that trend could continue going into winter.....well they got killed in the big rise.....and missed it.....

this year the trend has been down in the fall.....and those longs who think this trend can't continue into winter...just may get killed......

so go in this new year thinking like a short.....and be wary of every rise....

you can still play long......but long in this market will be days not weeks......until a proven uptrend is in place......

and we already all know that no great news is coming week after week like last year......in fact.....it just may be the opposite.....with endless earnings warnings for 2 Qrts or more.....and many stock delistings.....

so this year i will play the tax plays.....then move to playing short moves long and mostly looking for fast short plays.......

i saw the trend channel chart.....and it leads to 1600 if nasdaq never breaks out of it......and i want my money in the form of dry powder just in case that comes true.....
