I heard on "Wall Street Week" that the Germans had done some serious tax cutting and general rearranging.

I heard they were talking about it, but that couldn't obtain the political consensus to get it through. And figuring that elections were coming up this spring, they would have to wait until next fall.

This may only refer to Germany, I believe.
