Louis, I think that the last (and I believe only) intervention in the Euro was at its low against the dollar (.82 or so?), intervention works wonders if the market is "ready" for them, some times, however, they are misplaced and a waste of money, this one seemed to have worked (and was indeed coordinated with both the US and Japan stepping in on the buy side).
