Mary - Re:"That is the problem. I rarely, if ever get the updates."

You can schedule an automatic download of the new Norton Antivirus definitions. Norton updates its definition about once a week.

If you get the Norton System 2000 it includes Norton Antivirus and a batch of utilities that make it easy to schedule an auto download. Just follow the install instructions.

Like Paul said it catches something several times a year. Once makes it worth the money.
