Pat:

I have owned NT for 3 years and, as a Canadian, bought into the whole NT story. I have had many friends who have worked there and so I have a 'feeling' about how the company manages. I do not know if this is the first time. However, there was an article in the Canadian Business magazine, way before the NT bloodbath, that had raised red flags. I did not read it at the time nor did I listen to a trusted friend warn me. canadianbusiness.com
However, had I read the mag and then heard my friend, I would not be down 50% in my investment. It is in a RRSP account so I do have time on my side. (grinning as I cross my fingers...)
I have liked how Roth turned this telephone company into the networking forward leaning company.
Actually, I believe it sold off due a change in sales estimates from 12 billion to 10 billion. I do believe there are installation challenges BUT there are lots of people who can be there to do the work. I am not up on all the ins and outs of the installation challenges.
You may find the link to the Canadian Business mag provides an interesting preview of what actually happened.
In the meantime, I am waiting to hear what Roth and NT are up to for the next few quarters.
