The confidence index that peaked in the 140s was the one put out by the Conference Board and is presently 128.3. The confidence index that I was talking about, and thought you were too, is the Michigan Index. It's the one included in the Leading Indicators and plunged from 107.6 to 97.4 earlier this month. It peaked at 110.
