Still, it's probably best that I restrict watching CNBC to those times when I am not in a trade or contemplating one. The type of trading I do requires a lot of momentary focus.

If I was trading a stock I could review it the night before, look for my entry points and have everything set before the Open. Getting in and out of Futures Contracts quickly does not lend itself well to background buzz. Except for crucial announcements like FOMC most of it isn't relevant anyway.

That's what I think anyway. For the next person it may be just the thing for success.
