Now that the election is "decided", the fertilizer content of this thread is dropping, and no turnips seem to be sprouting. Here's a bit more fertilizer for the pile: LOL I hear that there will be 4 statewide recounts in Florida, and each will no doubt reach different conclusions as to the "real" vote. As I understand it the 4 counters are Jessie Jackson's group, the Miami Herald, the Wall Street Journal, and a Republican group. I suppose that when they announce 4 totally different results it will only serve to muddy the water further. On the bright side, I seem to have been wrong about the reaction of the country, to a certain extent. Most people seem to be taking the "thank goodness it's finally over" approach rather than the picketing/rioting approach, at least so far. Perhaps this old country can pull itself together and limp along for a few more years. Carl
