I honestly don't know if the SEC supervises financial writers. They don't actually manage anyone's money, so I'm guessing they don't have to answer to anyone. If there's fraud, it's another story. For example, were there kick-backs of any sort between GG and Terayon? As far as I can tell, there's no way to trace it. And even if there were, the company would probably be held liable, not the financial writer pumping it. GG could say he was given bad information.
