TC mentioned yesterday about liking the BTTT-Classic best for this type market. To that end, I found an article in the November "Active Trader" magazine that could be a partner for the Classic trade.

Scroll down to the article called "Trading the Bow-Tie Pattern" for a hint about the article.

This isn't far removed from the MAX concept, and is very close to what BeckyA has advocated in the past. Here's a quote from the article: Bow ties allow you to catch high-probability, shorter-term moves when markets are potentially embarking on new trends.

It also says: In a perfect setup, the transition (from one trend to another) should occur over a maximum of three to four days. It goes on to tell how the setup looks and what signals a "safer" trade. Long and short.
