ftth- I read the article in fairly good detail. Thanks for posting it. But as I read it...is it just me, or do you feel it has to be read very carefully too? How can ClearWorks be an ILEC(voice), a MSO(video), and an ISP(data)...so quickly?

I kept trying to find words that would clue me in as to how their model operates, and I could not find any clues. I'm pretty impressed by what they claim they do--Run fiber all the way to the master bedroom into an NIU/NID/IAD(I'm not sure what to call it). Out of that comes all the wires we are familiar with that we can plug our telephones, TVs, and computers into easily. Wow that sounds pretty easy.<g>

Does anyone else kind of question the PR the same way I do? I just get this feeling(and I could be totally wrong) that something is not right with ClearWorks.

Another question I have is--Why would the ILEC or MSO cooperate with Clearworks, who is obviously a competitor? Or did Clearworks really build a Master Headend? Did they really buy the VOD servers? Did they really buy a Class Five switch and build themselves a CO? ALL this is completely missing from the PR??

Clearworks has been brought up numerous times in the past, but this PR seems to be on a different level. As if the plant is fully operational with voice(I guess packet?), video(VOD nonetheless?), and data(100Mbs speed?). -MikeM(From Florida)
