Paul,

The post that I'm replying to contains the format for a previous contest. Is this the format that you want to use?

You want two sorts: by contributor and percent change? I can also sort by ticker if you want.

I think that you also want to calculate the average gain for the two picks when the spreadsheet is sorted by contributor?

Is there anything else that you want to include?

I created a test portfolio on Yahoo and downloaded the spreadsheet. It provides updated quotes, but I don't see any way to include the contributor's name or percent change in the download much less the average of the two picks. Unless I missed something, you would also have to sort the spreadsheet manually each night. To be honest with you, it would be easier for me to set up the spreadsheet in Excel and add links to eSignal for updating the closing prices. The only issue is how to get the updates to you. It wouldn't be much trouble for me to do the updates and email the results to you nightly so you can post them on your web site. Is this ok with you or do you want to post the results on this thread? I can also set up the spreadsheet and you can update the closing prices manually if you prefer. Everything else would be calculated automatically. That seems like a lot of extra work, but it's your call.
