I tend to agree that Woo is playing with words but what about the other more damaging aspects of that article.

Such as "there's alot of Qualcomm hype in that theory" regarding 1x being better due to it spectral efficiency made by Cingular.

We can try to spin this anyway we want but the bottom line is,is that Carriers who should be our customers are going elsewhere and rather then going what we believe to be the most efficient, direct, cost effective path,-in other words we believe they can go directly to "GO". But in lieu of that they are going via the Reading Railroad, Marvin Gardens and the Boardwalk. Now either they are dumber then a fence post or we ain't got what we think we got and thats bad medicine for your financial health.
I don't buy the dumb carrier theory either except for maybe AWS. But all the Korean carriers can't be dumb asses. And surely Cingular had no face saving issue as AWS did.
So why the enmass move away from the Golden Path(1X/CDMA2000)???
