Let's start with Canada's favourite, QLT. Something happened at the beginning of December 2000 that spooked some large holders. The stock dropped from $75 to $40 in one day. When we finally find out I expect to see the stock drop to a truer value like $20 Canadian. There are 85 million shares o/s so 85 * $42, current price, = $3.6 billion mkt cap. Next years profits are expected to be $100 million. But there are no more products in the pipeline, what if Visudyne is usurped by a better product within 5 years. It takes a lot of $100 million profits to make $3.6 billion
