to all: I finally found this thread, i had done a previous search using the ticker symbol luckily Sonki pointed me in the right direction as i was thinking about starting my own thread on Novartis. I have not much to say that has not already been mentionned except that i have noticed the stock is less thinly traded these days: there used to be 3-4 days between each quote now it's trading every day (please correct me if i'm wrong).

I am a long term investor looking to diversify by buing a blue-chip overseas drug but don't want to buy in near the 52 week high. I've been impatient in the past and that hasnt worked, like buying Ericson at 34 in Jan only to see it trade below that until recently.

I like this company, also this i a Swiss company and having lived near Geneva for 2 years i can say the Swiss are very successful at what they do. not so with other European nations like France or Italy who tax companies to death and need lessons in simple economics.
