I'm not normally one to chatter up on the boards much.

But I would like to take the New Year opportunity to say
thanks to you and all the 56'ers. Still the best thread on
SI. Those that don't know the lingo should come and see you.
It was well worth it to me. I must admit that the first
seminar I came to I was just looking for you to hand me a
magic bullet so that I could get home and "shoot" some
stocks. I was pretending that I wanted to do it myself, but
that wasn't the reality. I only looked at charts on the net.

When you scheduled A.C. I decided to get c
harting and scanning software and get serious. After A.C. I left my
account alone and began to do some serious studying, both scan and TA wise.

By mid October I had decided that it was make or break and
sold everything I was holding and bought stocks based on ta
alone. So far in 1999 it was !COMP +24% Steve -6%. From mid
Oct. to year end it was !COMP +49% Steve +39%. Hmmmm better
to buy an index fund?

Of course we all came out of the gate quickly in 2000. In
fact I will need another box of tissues if I think about
where I was in March. But in the end 2000 was !COMP -39%
Steve +37%. And room for improvement? Holy cow have I made
some dumb mistakes.

My turnaround has been a combination of your seminars,
the great people on this thread and my own studying.

Happy New Year 56'ers!!! I hope you all knock the socks off
of the market in 2001. And don't forget to stop in here and
chat so we can all glean those tasty morsels!!
