"YEAH!!! WHAT WORRIES ME IS THAT I AGREE WITH YOU AND, FURTHER, I SUSPECT THAT YOU ARE UNDERSTATING THE BULL CASE."

AMD has paid a HUGE price penalty for others' shortcomings...At $14, the market is discounting declining Y2001 AMD revenues (i.e under $4.8 billion) and negative earnings, imho...Q4 results should provide compelling evidence that Y2001 is more likely to produce $6 billion in revenues and $3.00 or better eps owing to increasing ASP's in Y2001 as the superior Athy based derivatives continue to outdistance competitors' products...

Once the investment community realizes that the revenues from the continuing stream of new and more expensive AMD top end products offsets, for the most part, narrowing margins on established products that are required to increase market share, AMD's ascent back to the $40 plus range could be real swift...AMD's Q4 results might just provide such a catalyst when the growing and very real presence of AMD in the microprocessor sector becomes apparent to all, via of comparative Y2000, and more particularly, Q4 results...
