Thomas,

<Where's the blindside?>

Here's the blindside to me: thinking something is gonna happen one way, micromanaging all the details; tuning in to every press release, listening to and participating in conversations with smart investors, and having my conclusions constantly reaffirmed - for 12 months straight -then, out of the blue, watch the UNthinkable happen - the vaporware known as wcdma suddenly emerges out of vapor into solid form, and begins running down the sidelines with ball in hand like Deion frikkin Sanders and spikes it into the end zone.

Weird. Like out of a dream. I still remember IJ's words at the shareholders meeting re: wCDMA, "Burns through batteries, runs hot, release dates are (clears throat) 'optimistic'."

Look, I'm not in panic mode or anything, as I've mentally prepared myself for this sort of possibility - but my expectations turned out to be way off - my mental vision of what I thought was happening is shattered.

I don't like that feeling - who does? I thought I was in control, turns out I was not.

Blindsided.
