Maurice, these were guests of my husband and I had no idea that one of them possessed such an extensive knowledge of telecommunications (worked for Ericsson and is on staff at a German University in research and development in telecommunications)...so I was quite blindsided by his remark that he saw no future in satellites...but pushed UMTS aggressively...and I have no knowledge of this (another) flavor of cdma... he was surprised to learn we still have analog in our area, claiming Germany is far more advanced than the US (I think in our conversation he might have had a propensity for ethnocentricity) but since I don't know anything about the state of wireless in Germany I accepted his statement... at any rate, it might have been a language problem with me but I still refuse to be convinced my investments in Lor/G* are/will be an endeavor in futility... PS: re: pcstel...I try to get along with everyone, but will still hold my ground and defend my position if I think I be right...just as I see you do as well...
