Perfect reading for the end of a long and difficult year. I don't know about you, but I'm finding myself very quiet and thoughtful at this, the true end of the millenium. So many changes and challenges over the last twelve months. I suspect the election debacle was for many what it was for me: a very upsetting eye-opener about how the seedy underbelly of our electoral process. So much for democracy.
