Do you think I disguise my feelings? I wish my wife thought so!! I understand what you mean, but it is possible and best to be true to oneself and respectful of others at the same time. To not be respectful is to be closed minded, determining that one's own thoughts have validity, and the others have not even enough validity to consider them. To be respectful does not mean being untrue to oneself. And if someone is just stupid, that is certainly a good reason not to tell them they are. Kind of counter-productive not to mention cruel. Basically, as you said, it's a matter of whether there is enough time and energy. I maintain that there is, in almost all cases. Here's a thought for you - what if you have kids and you don't respect their thoughts? You gonna bash em? Kids teach us a hell of a lot of tolerance. Peter
