Hi Gary. Thanks for your stock picks and strategy for 2001.

HEC looks like a great play to me and not as risky as you might think. It's selling for less than 1/3 of book value and there's plenty of cash in the till. Cash marks the basement price. Considering that drillers and exploration stocks are coming into play, there's much more upside than downside here.

TUP has attracted attention due to the heavy insider buying. Nice article recently at worldlyinvestor.com

I think that TUP is a little risky in the short term as most of their earnings come from overseas. The past quarter's weakness in the Euro will have an effect on earnings reported later this month. Additionally, the debt that TUP is carrying is heavy.

TUP will do well looking at it a year from now, as I think you're doing, for the same reasons that are negatively impacting it now. Earnings will improve due to the strengthening of the the Euro and the debt load will ease with the reduction in interest rates.

Thanks for the bank IPO strategy. As we live in the same area, we can look forward to banking together should a new
bank open up. I have a few retired acquaintances who are former bank presidents retired at an early age due to consolidation in the industry. Are you thinking that we're going to see the re-birth of the corner neighborhood bank?

Looking at Murphy's sector rotation chart, financials are the next play:

Bye for this year.
