To the best of my knowledge, "a" Lam's 300mm Teres CMP system has been shipped to a Taiwanese Foundry, very likely TSM. I don't believe LRCX to date has achieved a volume order. Previous posts on this thread have provided links to analysis of marketshare from various objective sources. If I get the chance tomorrow, I will try and post another.

Marketshare in the past is at only an indication of possible future results - marketshare can be gained or lost, which is why expenditure of R&D $$ in CMP is critical. Reviewing LRCX's 10Q (http://biz.yahoo.com/e/l/l/lrcx.html), I find it interesting that only one reference is made to CMP. While this is no indication of market penetration, IMHO is raises questions as to the materiality of CMP to LRCX's business.

Good luck to you in your investments in '01...SemiBull
